Project Manager – Emergency Health Response

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Project Manager to lead its emergency health response program in Lashio and surrounding townships of Northern Shan State. You will oversee the delivery of primary health care and health promotion services to internally displaced populations, ensuring high‑quality implementation and coordination with partner organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed program log‑frames, work plans, and monitoring tools to guide project implementation.
• Manage day‑to‑day activities, ensuring staff participation in decision‑making alongside the Program Manager and Senior Health Coordinator.
• Monitor service delivery to guarantee quality care and achievement of program indicators and targets.
• Prepare timely reports on program activities for senior management.
• Supervise and provide technical oversight to IRC and partner emergency health staff using the standard Performance Management System.
• Coordinate closely with partner organisations and oversee the mobile primary health care clinic operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing health projects in humanitarian or emergency settings.
• Strong understanding of primary health care delivery and health promotion for displaced populations.
• Ability to develop and monitor program plans, indicators, and reporting mechanisms.
• Excellent coordination and supervisory skills, with experience working with multiple partners.
