Nurse Supervisor

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to provide technical support and competency‑based supervision to its own and partner health nurse teams in Myanmar. The role involves overseeing both mobile and static clinic operations, ensuring delivery of primary health care and reproductive health services in line with established protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical and capacity‑building support to IRC and partner nurses for primary health care (PHC) and reproductive health (RH) services.
• Conduct orientation for new mobile clinic nurses and provide training on tele‑medication when needed.
• Organise and lead technical trainings (PHC, SRHR, IPC, etc.) in collaboration with clinic supervisors.
• Supervise nurses, clinic assistants and health workers to ensure readiness for long‑term family planning services.
• Coach mobile clinic teams on c‑IYCF counselling together with community health and clinic supervisors.
• Oversee drug and commodity management, including supervision of sub‑stores and stock control.
• Perform regular competency‑based supportive supervisions and deliver on‑the‑job training based on supervision checklists.
• Assist the Project Manager and Capacity Building Team in identifying technical capacity needs and monitoring project quality.

Required profile

• Myanmar national.
• Qualified nurse with experience in clinic and mobile health settings.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Project Manager and collaborate with partner organisations.
