Production Engineer

About the role

The Production Engineer will lead the development and optimisation of the electric‑vehicle 2‑wheel assembly line, ensuring efficient material flow, reliable equipment, and high‑quality output. You will work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise the EV 2W assembly process, establishing the correct sequence of operations.
• Set up workstations, fixtures, tools and equipment, and ensure smooth material flow along the line.
• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and detailed Work Instructions with photos, defining cycle times and standard operating times.
• Analyse assembly methods, identify bottlenecks, and improve operator movements and workstation layouts.
• Select and calibrate torque‑controlled tools, jigs and fixtures, and define torque specifications for critical fasteners.
• Support trial production and new model introductions, identifying assembly issues before mass production.
• Collaborate with the Quality Department to perform root‑cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone) and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor cycle time, line balance and productivity, driving Kaizen and semi‑automation initiatives.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, installation and commissioning, and assist in improving semi‑automated lines.
• Implement 5S standards at workstations to maintain an organised workplace.
