Power Engineer – Telecom Network Operations

About the role

The Power Engineer will support the Network Planning & Operations division by ensuring reliable operation of passive power equipment across telecom sites. This contract position works closely with field supervisors and maintenance partners to maintain and improve power assets.

Key responsibilities

• Test, configure, and install power equipment, including power plants and DG control panels.
• Troubleshoot complex multi‑area issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Repair lithium batteries, rectifiers, and other electronic components.
• Perform remote monitoring, visibility checks, and rectifications.
• Provide second‑level emergency support to maintenance partners.
• Assist with power commissioning, acceptance, and sign‑off.
• Support software upgrades for routers, controllers, modems, relays, and fuel sensors.
• Attend technical site surveys, audits, and verify installations.
• Maintain safety standards, prepare accurate reports, and ensure compliance with legal regulations.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a Power Engineer in the telecom field.
• Strong background in power systems, diesel generators, and RMS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 O&M environment.
• Valid driving license.
