Merchandiser

About the role

We are looking for a Merchandiser to drive sales and enhance in‑store presence for our product portfolio within an assigned territory. The role involves meeting sales targets, managing customer relationships and supporting marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist management in managing daily operational expenses in relation to the operating budget.
• Implement action plans such as regular calls, visits and order taking to achieve sales targets.
• Track individual and team progress against key performance indicators and sales plans.
• Prioritize and review daily sales activities.
• Conduct sales activities for the assigned territory, including product portfolio management, introducing marketing plans, order‑taking and preparing in‑store marketing and merchandising displays.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and contracts for sales agreements.
• Report on competitor activities and products.
• Record sales data for reporting and tracking purposes and maintain relevant customer data in the CRM database.
• Coordinate continuous improvement activities to enhance the sales process and customer satisfaction.
• Track and ensure payments are collected from customers.
• Investigate, resolve and record customer issues and provide advice on follow‑up actions.
• Respond to customer orders and inquiries, informing them about promotions and new products.
• Work with relevant departments to ensure timely product deliveries and maintain close, positive business relationships.

Required profile

• Education: SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: 1‑2 years in a similar sales or merchandising role.
• Languages: Fluent in both Malay and English (spoken and written).
