Medical Assistant – Patient Care & Clinic Support

About the role

BackFit Health + Spine is seeking a friendly and organized Medical Assistant to support Physician Assistants, chiropractic staff, and office operations across its clinics. You will play a key part in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and a welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Organize daily patient appointment schedules and keep the PA updated on status.
• Room patients, record vitals, and collect medical histories.
• Manage patient charts, intakes, and follow‑up communications.
• Educate patients on chiropractic services, recommend treatments, and offer related products.
• File records, scrub superbills, and respond to corporate inquiries.
• Assist the manager with insurance claim filing, tracking receivables, and other administrative duties.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the office and attend all required trainings and meetings.
• Cross‑train with other clinic departments and participate in pre‑shift meetings.

Required profile

• Cheerful demeanor with a strong desire to anticipate patient needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented, especially with paperwork.
• Solid understanding of medical and chiropractic environments.
• Ability to assist patients requiring additional help.
