Master Thesis: Acoustic Characterization of Inductors Using Electrical Excitation
Alstom · Ye-u
Job description
About the role
This master thesis focuses on developing a standardized method to acoustically characterize inductors based on their response to known electrical excitations. The research will combine experimental measurements with signal analysis to predict sound emission for arbitrary current waveforms.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct experimental measurements of inductors under various electrical excitations.
- Perform signal analysis to identify characteristic acoustic responses.
- Evaluate the potential of the identified response to predict sound emission for arbitrary waveforms.
- Explore the feasibility of a standardized characterization method for inductors.
Required profile
- Enrolled in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Signal Processing or Acoustics.
- Available to undertake a 1‑2 student master thesis project.
Required skills
- Experimental measurement techniques.
- Signal analysis and processing.
