Inventory Accountant

About the role

The Inventory Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of inventory accounting, ensuring accurate stock records and providing insightful reports to support business decisions. You will work closely with the Finance and Accounting departments to maintain financial integrity of inventory data.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present regular stock and inventory reports.
• Conduct inventory audits and physical counts to verify accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Finance/Accounting team to manage and maintain financial records related to inventory.
• Analyze inventory data using Excel to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Support inventory management processes and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in inventory accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.Com preferred) or LCCI Level 2/3 qualification.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Solid understanding of inventory management principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to prepare and present stock reports.
• Experience conducting inventory audits/counts.
• Understanding of inventory accounting processes.
