Instructor for Cruises Crew Career Development

About the role

The position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Yangon, Myanmar. The Instructor designs and delivers training programmes that prepare learners for careers onboard cruise ships, covering service standards, safety awareness, shipboard etiquette and professional conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Plan lessons and develop instructional materials aligned with international cruise industry standards.
• Conduct classroom sessions and practical, hands‑on training activities.
• Assess participant performance, provide coaching and feedback to support career growth.
• Update course content regularly to reflect current industry practices.
• Collaborate with management and partner cruise operators to maintain programme quality.
• Maintain clear records of trainee progress and outcomes.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful learning environment for participants from diverse backgrounds.

Required profile

• Experience in hospitality, cruise operations or related service industries with strong understanding of shipboard roles.
• Background in teaching, training or adult education, including lesson planning and learner assessment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to design and update practical, engaging training curricula.
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
• Relevant diploma or degree in hospitality, tourism, education or a related field; onboard cruise ship experience is a strong plus.
