HSE Officer – Construction & Engineering Projects

About the role

The HSE Officer will lead the implementation and monitoring of health, safety and environment policies across construction and engineering sites. You will ensure compliance with local regulations, protect personnel, and promote a culture of safety.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and audit HSE policies, procedures and standards at project sites.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, identify hazards and enforce corrective actions.
• Ensure all employees and subcontractors adhere to HSE regulations and PPE requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks and safety training sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of HSE experience, preferably in construction, elevator or engineering projects.
• Familiarity with Myanmar HSE regulations and international safety standards.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and reporting abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work on‑site as needed.
