Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Management

About the role

Yoma Land, a leading real‑estate developer in Myanmar, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support its diverse residential, commercial, industrial and hotel projects. The role involves cost planning, measurement, tender preparation and contract administration to ensure projects are delivered on budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost plans, Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and price comparisons from early design stages.
• Assist in estimating project costs, including feasibility studies and budget preparation.
• Mentor junior QS staff and ensure accurate measurement and valuation.
• Support procurement and contract award processes, including RFPs, scopes of work, tender clarifications and contract negotiations.
• Administer contracts, assess interim payment applications, manage variations/claims and compile final accounts.
• Produce monthly cost reports and maintain a cost database with market quotations.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience in a similar Quantity Surveying role, preferably in development or client‑consultant firms.
• Tertiary‑level qualification (beneficial but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and RICS rules of measurement.
• Strong computer literacy, especially MS Excel and MS Word.
• Myanmar language skills preferred; written English required.
• Flexible communication and coordination with project teams.
