Head of Software Development & Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Software Development and Operations to lead the full software development lifecycle, work closely with the PMO, and drive high‑quality delivery across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end software development lifecycle from initiation to closure, collaborating with the PMO on scope, timelines and resources.
• Lead and motivate cross‑functional development teams, ensuring delivery meets SLA commitments.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively implementing solutions with the PMO.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide technical oversight to resolve complex challenges.
• Implement security measures, stay updated on threats, and enforce quality assurance processes.
• Oversee version control (Git), deployment pipelines, and documentation of code and architecture.
• Plan and manage the department budget in coordination with Finance and provide training to enhance technical skills.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Software Project Manager or Development Manager with a proven track record.
• Leadership experience managing and mentoring development teams.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with good English proficiency.
• Ability to work under pressure and travel as needed.

Required skills

• Node.js, Express, React, JavaScript, MySQL.
• Design and optimization of complex relational databases.
• Hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Web server management (Apache, Nginx) and Linux command‑line deployment.
• Version control with Git and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
