Head of Finance - Oil & Gas/Refinery

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations for a diversified group with interests in oil & gas and refinery assets. Reporting to senior management, the role acts as a strategic financial partner, shaping performance, governance and investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash‑flow and working‑capital management.
• Ensure compliance, audit readiness and robust internal controls across the group.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic and investment decisions.
• Drive improvements in financial performance, reporting quality and governance.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors and regulators.
• Lead and develop the wider finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• 8–12 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 3–5 years in a finance management position.
• Experience in a group of companies, holding company or large corporate environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, internal controls and audit.
• Professional CPA qualification is advantageous.
