Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager is accountable for all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, cash‑flow management, audit coordination and statutory compliance at Newness Digital Company Limited. Reporting to the Executive Director/Co‑Founders, the role works closely with the CFO and department heads to deliver accurate, timely financial information that supports strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts and long‑term financial plans aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare monthly management reports and group consolidated financial statements in full compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Monitor cash flow, oversee accounts payable/receivable and manage banking relationships.
• Ensure compliance with Myanmar tax laws, accounting standards and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end audit processes with external auditors, including Big 4 firms.
• Maintain and strengthen internal control frameworks and financial policies.
• Supervise and mentor finance team members, including the Financial Accountant.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Hands‑on experience coordinating audits with external auditors.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and Myanmar tax regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and monitor departmental budgets and financial forecasts.
