Facilities Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Engineer will be based on‑site in Yangon (and Mandalay) and is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of building systems such as electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing. The role involves routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, and rapid troubleshooting to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing infrastructure.
• Conduct routine inspections and execute preventive maintenance programmes.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and system‑related issues.
• Plan maintenance schedules and coordinate external contractors.
• Support compliance with safety, building code and environmental regulations.
• Document maintenance activities and recommend system improvements.
• Assist with projects related to facility upgrades and modernisation.

Required profile

• Background in electrical and mechanical engineering or related technical diploma/degree.
• Experience (or strong interest) in large‑scale commercial, industrial or mixed‑use facilities.
• Knowledge of safety standards, building codes and environmental regulations.
• Strong communication, attention to detail and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Fresh graduates with a willingness to learn are welcome.
