Core Banking Functional Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Core Banking Functional Consultant to support the implementation and enhancement of core banking systems. The role bridges business and technology, handling requirement gathering, system configuration, gap analysis, and user acceptance testing, as well as delivering user training and post‑implementation support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation, support, and maintenance of core banking modules such as deposits, lending, and payments.
• Gather and document detailed business requirements, perform gap analysis, and configure the system accordingly.
• Conduct testing activities including unit, integration, functional, and performance testing across SIT, UAT, pre‑production and production environments.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support, track issues, analyze root causes, and deliver functional solutions to customers.
• Escalate non‑functional or technical issues to Level 3 teams when required.
• Deliver system training sessions and post‑Go‑Live support, including emergency coverage for End‑of‑Day or Close‑of‑Business processes.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation such as requirement scopes, issue logs, test specifications, user guides, and periodic reports.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of banking processes and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to be available for emergency support outside regular working hours.
• Professional attitude and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
