Business Development Officer

About the role

We are seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial Business Development Officer to help launch and grow our new job portal. You will be responsible for identifying employer clients, building relationships, pitching our recruitment solutions, and expanding into new market segments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new employer and business clients through prospecting, networking, referrals, direct outreach and digital channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook and TikTok.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with HR professionals, recruiters, consultancy firms, decision‑makers, universities and training centres.
• Research target market segments, emerging industries and recruitment trends to uncover new business opportunities.
• Present and pitch the portal’s products and recruitment packages, converting qualified leads into customers.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring excellent service throughout the customer journey.
• Support digital marketing, employer engagement and business development activities including job fairs, HR networking events and career fairs.
• Develop strategic partnerships with recruitment agencies, universities, training centres and HR networks.
• Gather market insights and provide feedback for product, pricing and service improvements.
• Track and report on leads, acquisitions, conversions, sales activities and partnership development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Customer Acquisition, Digital Marketing or Account Management.
• Experience in B2B sales, recruitment, HR services, technology platforms or startups is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, strong networking and communication skills, result‑oriented and commercially driven.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team and a willingness to learn continuously.
