Area Sales Officer

About the role

The Area Sales Officer will be the primary point of contact for customers in the assigned territory, managing the distribution of one or more brands across designated outlets. The role focuses on building strong professional relationships, ensuring product visibility, meeting sales targets, and delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate outlet record cards for all customer visits.
• Review and adjust journey plans when territory boundaries change.
• Use questioning techniques and a prepared opening statement to identify customer needs.
• Follow the 6‑Step Outlet Execution Excellence process and meet outlet‑specific KPIs.
• Analyse outlet sales data and forecasts to recommend order quantities.
• Prospect and acquire new outlets on a regular basis.
• Conduct structured negotiations to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Handle product complaints proactively according to established procedures.
• Adhere to customer service standards and maintain a standardized customer folder.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in a sales role.
• Basic English communication skills and fluency in Myanmar language.
• Self‑motivated with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Capability to supervise and guide staff, organise tasks and meet performance expectations with limited resources.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
