Agency Business Development Supervisor

About the role

The Agency Business Development Supervisor will lead the Agency Department in identifying new business opportunities, managing agent relationships, and driving sales growth. This role involves strategic planning, performance management, and providing specialist support throughout the insurance sales process.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and explore new business opportunities and market segments.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue and departmental growth.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with agents, clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Lead business proposal writing and presentations to potential partners.
• Oversee insurance administration, including claims and agents’ requirements.
• Prepare and submit regular performance and sales reports.
• Recruit, train, coach, and appraise team members to meet performance targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the insurance field, preferably in sales or business development.
• Strong knowledge of insurance management, life insurance policies, and agent/customer relationship management.
• Proven leadership ability to manage and motivate a team.
• High integrity, excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to organizational policies.
