National Digital Learning Consultant (remote with travel)

About the role
The National Digital Learning Consultant will support UNICEF’s education programme in Myanmar by expanding digital learning opportunities for vulnerable children and adolescents. Working remotely with periodic travel to project sites, the consultant will help design, pilot and scale low‑tech and innovative digital solutions for foundational literacy, numeracy and adolescent skilling.
Key responsibilities
- Assess the current digital learning landscape and identify gaps in access for disadvantaged learners.
- Design and pilot low‑tech and digital learning interventions, including the Learning Passport platform.
- Collaborate with UNICEF’s Education Section, local partners and community hubs to adapt content to multiple languages and contexts.
- Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building for teachers and community facilitators.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of digital solutions, producing reports and recommendations for scale‑up.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in implementing digital learning programmes in humanitarian or low‑resource settings.
- Strong understanding of foundational literacy and numeracy curricula.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely with travel to Myanmar.
Required skills
- Experience with education technology platforms (e.g., Learning Passport).
- Ability to develop and adapt learning content for multi‑language environments.
