Sous Chef – Myanmar Citizen Only

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Sous Chef position is based at the Governor's Residence in Yangon, Myanmar. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will help plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality dishes for the hotel’s restaurant, events and room service, ensuring a memorable dining experience that meets luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate kitchen sections during service.
• Monitor food preparation, presentation and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist in menu development and maintain consistent dish quality.
• Manage inventory, coordinate with suppliers and control food costs.
• Collaborate with culinary and service teams to uphold the property’s luxury standards.

Required profile

• Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and service preparation.
• Guide, train and support junior kitchen team members.
• Report operational issues, equipment needs and team performance updates.
• Ensure smooth coordination across kitchen sections.

Required skills

• HACCP knowledge and strict food safety compliance.
• Understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards.
