Assistant QA Manager

About the role

The Assistant QA Manager will support the development and implementation of quality management systems across KFC restaurants and supply chain in Myanmar, ensuring compliance with local and YUM! standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QA procedures, SOPs, work instructions, checklists and controlled documents for food safety, hygiene and quality.
• Monitor implementation of QA systems, conduct internal audits, report gaps and follow up corrective actions.
• Support supplier qualification, onboarding and maintain performance data including audits, deviations, complaints and CAPA status.
• Coordinate product testing (microbiological, chemical, sensory, shelf‑life) and maintain product specifications and quality letters.
• Conduct regular restaurant visits to assess food safety, hygiene, product quality and operational compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Manufacturing, Restaurant Operations or Food Supply Chain.
• Experience with QSR, food manufacturing, retail or FMCG and conducting food safety audits is preferred.
