Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our innovative agricultural seed company. The role focuses on managing accounts receivable, ensuring revenue integrity and supporting month‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Post daily cash receipts, transfers and credit payments to the general ledger.
• Collaborate with Sales Administration to audit transactional data and guarantee proper revenue recognition.
• Own the AR portion of month‑end close, preparing journal entries, accruals and bad‑debt reserves.
• Generate and present weekly and monthly AR aging reports, cash‑flow forecasts and DSO metrics to management.
• Maintain clean records and provide schedules and documentation for external and internal audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or related field, with LCCI Level 3 certification; CPA or ACCA candidates preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience in an agriculture or trading company environment.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to meet strict financial deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
