QA Testing Engineer (4-8 years experience)

About the role

The QA Testing Engineer will design, execute and manage functional, regression and integration tests for various projects and change requests. The role ensures that solutions meet business requirements while minimizing production defects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute test cases across web, API and mobile platforms, logging defects with detailed evidence.
• Perform system, integration and regression testing, and support UAT cycles with business users.
• Validate backend data using SQL queries and produce test closure reports.
• Maintain test documentation such as test strategy, test plan and summary reports.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts and product owners, and participate in peer reviews and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 4–8 years of hands‑on software testing experience.
• Strong documentation and defect‑lifecycle management skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proactive problem‑solver with good communication abilities.

Required skills

• SQL for backend validation.
• JUnit or similar test frameworks.
• API testing tools such as Postman or REST‑assured.
• Version control and CI tools: Git, Jenkins.
• Test management and defect tracking tools: JIRA.
• Understanding of telecom/BSS testing environments (advantage).
