Project Finance Coordinator

About the role

Oxfam GB in Myanmar is seeking a Project Finance Coordinator to ensure high-quality financial management, donor compliance and effective coordination of programme and partnership finances for its WASH interventions. The role will support budgeting, monitoring and reporting activities across projects, working closely with programme managers, finance teams and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and revise proposal budgets in collaboration with programme, business development and operations teams.
• Conduct regular budget monitoring, including burn-rate, variance and forecast analysis.
• Provide timely financial analysis, forecasts and recommendations to programme managers and budget holders.
• Prepare expenditure plans and financial forecasts aligned with approved workplans.
• Verify payments for compliance with budgets, internal controls and financial policies.
• Monitor project spending, identify over- or underspending early and propose mitigation measures.
• Support budget amendments, contract variations and no-cost extensions in line with donor and organisational requirements.
• Ensure accurate financial coding and allocation of expenditures according to donor regulations and Oxfam procedures.
• Track financial performance of WASH interventions and contribute to project management and financial review meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial management and donor compliance within an international development or humanitarian context.
• Ability to work collaboratively with programme, finance, operations and audit teams.
• Strong analytical skills for budget monitoring, variance analysis and financial forecasting.
• Attention to detail in verifying payments and ensuring accurate financial coding.
