National Social Media Consultant for Climate Change (remote with travel)

About the role

UNICEF Myanmar seeks a consultant to lead its digital climate‑change communication, creating high‑impact social media strategies that engage children, adolescents and young people in green skills and climate action.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement social‑media strategies to raise awareness on climate crises, air pollution and related health risks.
• Produce youth‑friendly, creative content (stories, blogs, photos, videos) to maximise reach across digital communities.
• Build youth capacity on green‑skill social‑media use and collaborate with programme sections to amplify climate advocacy.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma and at least 2 years of professional experience in online content creation, social‑media management and campaign planning.
• Demonstrated integrity, cultural sensitivity and ability to work independently and responsively.
• Fluent written and oral Burmese; good English is an asset.

Required skills

• Developing a wide array of online content (stories, blogs, photos, videos).
• Social‑media management, planning and asset development.
• Designing and executing online and offline campaigns.
