Gender and Protection Advisor (Re‑advertisement)

About the role

Oxfam Myanmar is seeking a Gender and Protection Advisor to strengthen its commitment to gender justice, social inclusion and protection across humanitarian and development programmes. The role will be based in Yangon and will provide technical leadership to both Oxfam and partner staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the integration of gender, GEDSI and protection principles into programme design, strategic planning, implementation and learning.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity‑strengthening support to Oxfam teams and implementing partners.
• Ensure alignment of all activities with Oxfam’s Strategies and Action Plan.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of gender and protection interventions.
• Contribute to the development of policies, tools and resources that promote gender equity and protection.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in gender, GEDSI and protection within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of Oxfam’s strategic frameworks and action plans.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to work collaboratively with partners.
