Core-Banking System & Database Administration Officer

About the role

The Core-Banking System & Database Administration Officer is responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of the bank's core banking applications and underlying databases. This role supports reporting, data warehousing, and ensures that system parameters and user access are regularly reviewed and updated.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly reports and review change requests.
• Maintain security, user roles, and access controls.
• Configure and support new banking products according to specific requirements.
• Perform parameter and functional updates for product needs.
• Identify issues, conduct system testing, and resolve problems.
• Conduct periodic reviews of system parameters, functions, and user access.
• Support the report development team.
• Provide technical administration for database systems, including configuration, upgrades, monitoring, and end‑user support.
• Manage the data warehouse to support business operations.
• Assist in evaluating and recommending server and database platforms.
• Control and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly data backups.
• Collect and consolidate monthly database data for user checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in database administration or related IT roles.
• Strong English and Myanmar language skills (reading, writing, comprehension).
• Good organizational and self‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with relational database systems, especially Oracle.
• Knowledge of Oracle RMAN and PL/SQL.
• Proficiency with Report Builder tools.
• Basic understanding of DBMS concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with database standards and end‑user applications.
• Experience managing data warehouses and backup processes.
