Compensation & Benefits Senior Specialist

About the role

The Compensation and Benefits Senior Specialist works in the Compensation & Benefits department of People & Culture, reporting to the Compensation and Benefits Senior Manager. The purpose of the role is to administer all payroll-related services so that employees receive best-in-class support.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain employee payroll master data and keep SAP systems up to date
• Monitor the payroll system and resolve ESS/MSS and SAP data errors
• Perform payroll calculations, including deductions, insurance coverage, wage garnishments, tax filings and child support
• Prepare detailed employee wage summaries covering earnings, taxes, deductions, leaves, retirement savings and benefits
• Coordinate with HR and finance teams for accurate, timely payroll processing
• Assist in audits and implement audit recommendations
• Work with the IT Production Support team on Workday integration and reporting issues
• Manage a confidential database of official documents, employee records and government forms
• Conduct compensation benchmarking and market analysis, and prepare compensation data reports and dashboards
• Take part in cross-functional HR and Total Rewards projects and drive continuous improvement in payroll and compensation processes
• Handle additional People Operations assignments as required

Required profile

• 3-5 years of experience in HR services or a related area
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Sound understanding of HR policies and processes
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and handle multiple high-priority activities at once

Required skills

• 3+ years of payroll software application experience
• Experience integrating systems with third-party vendors and running customer reporting solutions
• SAP and Workday knowledge
