Community Facilitator (Child Protection & MHPSS)

About the role

The Community Facilitator will support gender‑responsive child protection and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) activities in camps and hard‑to‑reach areas of Rakhine. Working closely with the Project Assistant and Coordinator, you will ensure children and families receive timely protection and psychosocial services.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of gender‑responsive programmes in assigned locations.
• Conduct regular monitoring visits, identify protection cases and ensure safe referral to service providers.
• Organise trainings, awareness sessions and MHPSS activities for children, families and community members.
• Supervise mobile Child Friendly Space volunteers and coach Group PSS facilitators.
• Prepare and submit activity reports, documenting progress, challenges and case data.
• Coordinate with local authorities and community leaders to ensure smooth operation of mobile Group PSS activities.
• Maintain quality and child‑friendly standards for all protection and psychosocial services.

Required profile

• Experience working in child protection, humanitarian or MHPSS programmes.
• Ability to conduct trainings, supervise volunteers and mentor facilitators.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to remote and camp settings.
• Level 3 child safeguarding clearance.
