Assistant Sales Manager / Assistant Event Sales Manager

About the role

The Assistant Sales Manager supports the Sales Manager in driving room and event revenue for Inya Lake Hotel. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with corporate, leisure and group clients to generate new business and ensure smooth execution of bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, group and event segments.
• Prepare sales proposals, contracts and coordinate site inspections.
• Follow up on leads, negotiate terms and secure bookings.
• Collaborate with front office, events and marketing teams to deliver seamless group stays, conferences and banquets.
• Maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts and market data.
• Communicate regularly with clients, attend sales meetings and represent the hotel at networking events.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in hotel or hospitality sales, preferably with corporate, group or event focus.
• Strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyse sales data, forecasts and market trends.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree; knowledge of Myanmar language is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Familiarity with basic hotel reservation or sales systems.
• Experience with CRM tools (advantage).
