Technical Consultant – Child Health, Disability Inclusion and Nutrition

About the role

PATH is seeking a Technical Consultant to lead the design and implementation of capacity‑building activities that strengthen child health, nutrition, disability inclusion, and psychosocial support services for children with disabilities and their caregivers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists (psychiatrists, psychologists, pediatricians, rehabilitation physicians, physiotherapists, nutrition experts) to design integrated interventions.
• Plan, develop, and facilitate training workshops, seminars, and capacity‑building activities for children with disabilities, families, community providers, volunteers, and frontline workers.
• Develop comprehensive training packages and facilitator guides covering play therapy, art therapy, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), child protection, disability‑inclusive approaches, and caregiver well‑being.
• Ensure all training materials are culturally appropriate, child‑friendly, gender‑sensitive, and disability‑inclusive.
• Organize consultative meetings with nutrition specialists and stakeholders to lead the creation and review of Nutrition IEC materials, incorporating messages on child nutrition, feeding practices, maternal nutrition, fortification, special‑needs nutrition, referral pathways, and available services.
• Prepare training plans, coordinate logistics, support workshop implementation, and document activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project staff and volunteers throughout implementation.
• Conduct accessibility audits of selected health facilities.
