Sub-Assistant Engineer – Tender & Project Coordination

About the role

The Sub-Assistant Engineer will support the Executive Engineer in managing electrical power engineering projects, focusing on tender preparation, project coordination and on‑site execution. This full‑time position is based in Mayangone Township, Yangon, with standard office hours and occasional work‑from‑home on Saturdays.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tender documentation and develop execution plans for awarded projects.
• Estimate project costs, schedule activities, monitor progress and control quality and expenses.
• Supervise preparation of inspection and project documents to ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with contractors for electrical works.
• Coordinate with government authorities, partners, clients and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to site engineers, review daily reports and report status to the Head of Department.
• Manage material consumption, prepare procurement budgets and oversee delivery to sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electric power, transmission, distribution or EPC projects.
• Experience in tender preparation and project coordination.
• Familiarity with substations, transmission lines or distribution networks is an advantage.
