Senior Technical Manager

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to provide strategic technical leadership across multiple humanitarian sectors in Myanmar. The role ensures that interventions meet global standards, donor requirements, and are delivered with high quality and coherence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical design and quality assurance for WASH, Protection, Health, Food Assistance, Education in Emergencies, DRR/AA, and Nutrition.
• Develop and maintain sector‑specific guidelines, SOPs, and frameworks.
• Conduct regular technical reviews and ensure consistency across partners and locations.
• Integrate multi‑sector programmes to create holistic, context‑sensitive solutions.
• Supervise sector specialists, mentor staff, and build capacity of consortium partners.
• Provide technical input to planning, budgeting, and activity design, and support field implementation.
• Collaborate with MEAL to use data for continuous improvement and document lessons learned.
• Promote innovative approaches such as anticipatory action, cash programming, and integrated service delivery.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in social science, development studies, MBA or equivalent professional experience).
• Extensive experience in humanitarian technical coordination and quality assurance.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage complex programmes.
