Development Field Officer

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Development Field Officer to mobilize and support community groups in Bilin. The role focuses on facilitating community‑driven development plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring effective partnership with local stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilize and facilitate community groups to own the development process.
• Educate communities on identifying and addressing their own needs.
• Guide communities in creating and implementing development plans.
• Monitor, analyze and report on community progress and behavior change.
• Provide technical support to core team and partner health checklist reviews.
• Conduct advocacy meetings with local authorities, village leaders and NGOs.
• Identify and establish partnerships with potential partners.
• Mentor communities on learning, reflection and child‑sponsorship monitoring systems.
• Collect, analyze and compile primary and secondary data for technical program reports.
• Ensure financial and non‑financial resources are used efficiently and documented according to World Vision standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in community mobilization and formation of community‑based organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Knowledge of health (MNCH & WASH), education, resilience, livelihood or child protection sectors is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of financial accounting.
• Willingness to serve vulnerable communities and adhere to World Vision core values.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using Zoom for virtual meetings.
