Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management activities across construction projects. The role involves overseeing the full commercial lifecycle from feasibility studies to final account settlement, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cost estimation and feasibility studies based on project drawings.
• Prepare tender documents, Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and contractual agreements.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and contract negotiations.
• Control project costs, monitor budgets and process variation orders.
• Produce monthly progress reports, cash‑flow forecasts and final accounts.
• Analyse commercial risks and advise on claims and dispute resolution.
• Perform work‑done valuations, verify subcontractor payments and settle final accounts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5‑10 years of quantity surveying experience, preferably in senior or lead roles.
• Proven experience in cost control, site operations or procurement within the construction sector.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and documentation abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
• Experience in the Myanmar construction market is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence with AutoCAD.
• Experience using quantity surveying software.
