Senior MEAL Manager

About the role

World Vision Myanmar is seeking a Senior MEAL Manager to lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems. The role ensures high‑quality data collection, analysis and reporting to support evidence‑based decision‑making and donor compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and refinement of MEAL frameworks, indicators and plans aligned with project goals and donor requirements.
• Establish and maintain robust data collection, management, verification and analysis processes.
• Implement data quality assurance (DQA) standards across all project locations and partners.
• Oversee regular monitoring of project progress, prepare and quality‑check donor and internal reports.
• Develop dashboards and real‑time performance tracking tools for management use.
• Promote a learning culture by leading learning events, documenting lessons learned and supporting knowledge product development.
• Strengthen accountability mechanisms, including feedback and complaint response systems.
• Supervise and mentor MEAL Specialists, building capacity of staff and partners on MEAL tools and data use.
• Identify and manage risks related to data quality, reporting and ethical considerations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading MEAL systems in humanitarian or development projects.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure data quality and produce high‑quality donor reports.
• Experience supervising and mentoring MEAL staff and partners.
• Strong collaboration skills with senior technical and program managers to translate evidence into program improvements.
• Knowledge of risk management and data ethics in field settings.
