Senior Accountant (Trading Industry)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in the trading sector. The role offers strong career development opportunities and a supportive work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
• Record, verify, and consolidate transactions while maintaining the general ledger.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and accounting standards.
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and resolve financial issues.
• Train and manage junior accountants and other team members.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Summarize financial status and provide analysis for decision‑making.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audits by supplying required documentation and insights.

Required profile

• B.Com, B.Act or any graduate qualification plus LCCI Level III.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in preparing and handling full sets of accounts, including profit & loss and balance sheet.
