Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will oversee daily cash and bank reconciliations, manage expense and pre‑payment processing, and ensure accurate financial reporting within a telecom environment. You will work closely with the accounting team, providing guidance to junior staff and supporting month‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Check daily cash, bank balances and Ygn inventory reports.
• Prepare and record daily and monthly expense, pre‑payment, and rental charge transactions in Xero.
• Enter monthly bank income transactions and verify supplier purchase orders and invoices.
• Create journal entries for expenses, pre‑payments and other charges.
• Assist in preparing profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and detailed cost analyses for maintenance and installations.
• Maintain detailed Excel worksheets for vehicle maintenance, fuel charges, and inventory reports.
• Coordinate with the accounting team and support junior accountants on ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the ISP/telecom sector.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Professional ethics and integrity in handling financial data.
