Project Officer (Nutrition/OTP)

About the role

The Project Officer (Nutrition/OTP) will lead the implementation of the Nutrition project in Rakhine, focusing on the Outpatient Therapeutic Programme (OTP) and Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme (TSFP). The role involves technical support, team management, monitoring, and reporting to ensure high‑quality nutrition services for the most vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise OTP/TSFP activities to ensure quality case management and treatment.
• Liaise with health actors and IYCF teams to coordinate referrals and health education.
• Compile and analyse field statistics, complete monitoring tools, and prepare donor and internal reports.
• Conduct capacity‑building trainings for OTP staff, volunteers, and partners.
• Organise monthly nutrition team meetings and support budgeting, work‑plan development, and resource planning.
• Ensure availability of staff and equipment for OTP centres and assist with coverage and anthropometric surveys.
• Promote child safeguarding by informing beneficiaries about policies and codes of conduct.
• Manage project resources and ensure expenditures comply with finance and grant controls.

Required profile

• Experience in managing nutrition projects, preferably with OTP/TSFP components.
• Proven ability to supervise field staff and coordinate with health and nutrition partners.
• Strong understanding of child safeguarding principles.
• Ability to work in remote field settings and travel regularly for monitoring visits.
