Project Development Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

The Project Development Manager will lead the execution of renewable energy and hydro‑power projects, acting as the main liaison between partners, government bodies and internal teams. This role ensures projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee effective execution of all assigned projects.
• Assist project partners in fulfilling agreement obligations.
• Coordinate with internal and external advisors and consultants for project success.
• Maintain a strong corporate reputation with ministries, regional governments and the public.
• Collaborate with the PR team to secure governmental approvals.
• Draft and negotiate agreements such as NDA, term sheet, MOU, MOA, LOI and NTP alongside BD and Commercial teams.
• Support strategic development and planning for renewable projects.
• Assist the Project Director in implementing project plans.
• Develop and execute the organization’s operations strategy.
• Manage partner relationships, reporting, and joint‑venture oversight.
• Lead and inspire a team to achieve strategic objectives.
• Coordinate annual business planning and quarterly forecasting.
• Prepare reports, budgets and forecasts for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Power engineering; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of senior‑level experience in power generation or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of EPC processes and standard operating procedures in the power sector.
• Commercial acumen for power generation projects.
• Willingness to travel for short trips as needed.
