Procurement & Tender Manager – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

The Procurement & Tender Manager will lead end‑to‑end sourcing, contracting and supply‑chain execution for renewable‑energy projects. You will develop procurement strategies, manage tender lifecycles and negotiate high‑value contracts to ensure timely delivery of quality equipment while controlling risk and cost.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy, master schedule and budget for all equipment and contract packages.
• Lead the full tender process: draft RFPs, pre‑qualify vendors, handle bidder queries and evaluate bids.
• Prepare, issue and manage tenders for major EPC packages, inverters, mounting structures, substation equipment and other renewable‑energy modules.
• Draft, negotiate and finalize supply, service and construction contracts with optimal risk allocation.
• Proactively manage supply‑chain logistics, customs clearance, on‑site delivery and cost‑escalation risks.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to define technical requirements and ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
• Build and maintain a robust vendor database and strong supplier relationships.
• Administer contracts post‑award, monitor variations, payment milestones and supplier KPIs.
• Implement risk‑mitigation strategies for logistics, currency fluctuations and geopolitical factors.
• Provide regular procurement reports, savings tracking and market intelligence to project leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of direct procurement, supply‑chain and tender‑management experience in a managerial role, preferably within the electrical services or renewable‑energy sector.
