Project Director – Foreign Expert (Infrastructure)

About the role

SUPREME TRADINGS seeks an experienced Project Director – Foreign Expert to lead major infrastructure and engineering projects in Myanmar. The role provides strategic direction across the full project lifecycle, acting as the primary liaison between the owner, Chinese state‑owned partners, EPC contractors and local authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive project strategy from initiation through commissioning and hand‑over.
• Coordinate EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants and internal teams to meet scope, schedule, budget and safety targets.
• Oversee design review, procurement, construction supervision and quality assurance as Owner’s Engineer.
• Monitor contractor performance, manage risks, resolve technical and contractual issues, and lead claim mitigation.
• Represent the owner in technical, commercial and contractual meetings and produce regular status reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; Master’s or PMP preferred.
• 15+ years of project management/engineering experience on large‑scale infrastructure, energy or telecom projects.
• Proven experience working with Chinese State‑Owned Enterprises or Chinese EPC contractors.
• Fluent in Chinese and English; Malay or Vietnamese a strong advantage.
