Pathology Associate

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Medical Doctor to join our anatomic pathology laboratory. You will work alongside experienced consultant pathologists, gaining hands‑on experience with modern diagnostic techniques in a professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform gross examination and dissection of pathology specimens.
• Prepare tissues for frozen sections, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence, flow cytometry and other specialized tests.
• Photograph gross specimens and provide fresh tissue samples for research projects.
• Assist pathologists with specimen grossing and support frozen‑section services at satellite labs when needed.
• Operate a digital whole‑slide imaging scanner.
• Handle specimen accessioning, cassette printing, specimen handling, and tissue fixation prior to grossing.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and participate in specimen storage and disposal according to protocol.
• Contribute to quality‑assurance activities and continuous process‑improvement initiatives.
• Support other laboratory sections and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MD) with interest in anatomic pathology.
• Ability to work under the direction and supervision of board‑certified pathologists.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory safety and quality standards.
