Operations Manager – Renewable Energy (Myanmar)

About the role
Manage and coordinate day‑to‑day operational activities to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. Liaise with government departments, the Ministry of Investment and Companies (MIC) and relevant authorities for permits, approvals, licences and regulatory matters.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily operational activities.
- Liaise with government departments, MIC and relevant authorities for permits, approvals, licences and regulatory matters.
- Monitor changes in government laws, regulations and compliance requirements affecting operations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure operational alignment.
- Organise logistics, resources, contractors, consultants and site requirements.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports, official correspondence, regulatory documents and management updates.
- Monitor operational issues, deadlines and action plans and ensure timely follow‑up.
- Maintain effective relationships with government officials, consultants, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Identify operational risks and recommend practical solutions and process improvements.
- Support management in operational planning, business expansion and other assigned activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Operations Management, Project Coordination, Government Relations, Renewable Energy, Engineering, Construction or related industries.
- Experience dealing with government departments, MIC, permits, licences and regulatory procedures (preferred).
- Strong communication, coordination, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational, reporting, problem‑solving and time‑management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Willingness to travel to government offices and project sites when required.
