Nurse Supervisor

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to provide technical support and competency‑based supervision to IRC and partner health nurse teams in Myanmar. This role combines clinical expertise with capacity‑building to ensure high‑quality primary health care and reproductive health services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical guidance and capacity‑building for both mobile and static clinic nurses according to IRC protocols.
• Develop and conduct orientation packages and on‑the‑job training for new mobile clinic nurses.
• Provide training on tele‑medication, Primary Health Care (PHC), Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRHR), and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC).
• Supervise nurses, clinic assistants, and health workers to ensure readiness for long‑term family planning services.
• Coach mobile clinic teams on c‑IYCF counselling in collaboration with community health supervisors.
• Oversee drug and commodity management, including supervision of sub‑stores and stock control.
• Conduct regular competency‑based supportive supervisions and generate technical support reports.
• Assist the Project Manager and Capacity Building Team in developing and implementing capacity development plans.

Required profile

• Myanmar national candidate.
• Solutions‑driven and passionate about humanitarian health work.
• Experience supervising nursing staff in clinic settings.
