Merchandising & Commercial Manager – Apparel Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Merchandising & Commercial Manager to lead the end‑to‑end merchandising and commercial functions of our garment manufacturing operation in Yangon. The role bridges international buyers, raw‑material suppliers and production teams to ensure smooth supply‑chain flow and profitable order execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the merchandising process from product development and sample approval through costing and final shipment.
• Manage import/export documentation, customs clearance and logistics for raw materials and finished goods.
• Negotiate price, lead‑time and terms with international buyers and suppliers.
• Oversee fabric consumption, CMP/CMT costing and budgeting to protect margins.
• Coordinate with Production, QA/QC and Planning to guarantee on‑time delivery and quality compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in garment merchandising and commercial/logistics within a CMP/CMT environment.
• Strong English and Chinese communication abilities.
• Willingness to relocate and work in Myanmar.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/merchandising systems.
• Knowledge of fabric consumption analysis and CMP/CMT costing.
• Experience handling import/export documentation and customs clearance.
• Logistics coordination for international shipping.
