Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Senior Technician

About the role

The position is responsible for planning, scheduling and executing corrective and preventive maintenance on mechanical plant equipment. The role works closely with operations teams to prioritize work, manage spares, and allocate resources while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
• Liaise with operations to prioritize jobs, manage spares, and allocate resources.
• Implement proactive initiatives such as predictive maintenance, failure finding, and redesign.
• Maintain risk registers, conduct safety walk‑downs and promote safety initiatives.
• Develop maintenance procedures, risk assessments and method statements for safe execution.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with statutory requirements.
• Support maintenance‑related projects to improve workflow and processes.
• Lead in‑house contractor management and oversee spare‑part review and coding.
• Review SAP notifications, prepare Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) in SAP and ensure timely shutdown or scheduled maintenance execution.
• Promote HSE awareness and process safety throughout the plant.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial environment.
• Ability to coordinate with operations and manage resources effectively.
• Familiarity with safety practices, risk assessment and statutory compliance.
• Experience leading contractor activities and handling spare‑part logistics.
• Strong organizational skills to support shutdown planning and project work.
