Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer

About the role

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer will be based on‑site in Yangon, working full‑time to promote a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace. You will support project teams by embedding HSE best practices and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments and hazard identification.
• Develop, implement and update HSE policies, procedures and safe work practices.
• Organise and deliver safety trainings, toolbox talks and awareness sessions.
• Maintain accurate incident, accident and near‑miss records and prepare reports for management and regulators.
• Collaborate with contractors and project teams to integrate HSE controls into daily operations.
• Lead investigations of incidents and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental principles applied in industrial or construction settings.
• Practical experience in risk assessment, hazard control and incident investigation.
• Relevant HSE certification such as NEBOSH or an equivalent qualification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work both independently and as part of a team on‑site.
