Head of Technical Department – Lead Technology Strategy

About the role

We are seeking a visionary and results‑driven Head of Technology to lead engineering, infrastructure, development and IT operations. The role will define and execute the company’s technology strategy, oversee large‑scale digital initiatives and ensure secure, scalable systems supporting digital payments and government platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define, develop and execute the long‑term technology vision, architecture design and implementation roadmap.
• Drive innovation by evaluating, recommending and adopting emerging technologies and industry best practices.
• Lead collaboration between technology and commercial departments to align product development with business strategies.
• Oversee software development, application deployment, system maintenance and IT infrastructure to ensure high availability for digital payment systems.
• Ensure compliance with national regulations, cybersecurity laws and data privacy standards.
• Mentor and scale a high‑performing engineering organization, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 + years experience in software engineering, systems integration or IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years in a senior manager role.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑grade projects in Fintech/Digital Payments, Enterprise Solutions or e‑Government environments.
• Professional fluency in English; Myanmar language proficiency is a plus.
